Alessandra Barbuto (Pompei, 1970), lives and works in Rome. Art Historian, she works since 2000 at MIBACT and since 2006 at MAXXI museum in Rome as head of Collection, Conservation, Registrar Office. In particular, she deals with conservation and documentation of MAXXI Art permanent collection, carrying out an intense research in the field of the acquisition, management, installation and restoration of contemporary art. She has recently participated in several conventions and lectures at master degree courses. Member of INCCA (International Network for the Conservation of Contemporary Art) and of Supervisory Board of NACCA (New Approaches in the Conservation of Contemporary Art),she participates and promotes the creation of a network of various professionals who act in the contemporary world. She’s author of essays corcerning the transmission of contemporary culture to the future.
